This position is located in the Environmental Section, Army Engineering Branch of the Engineering Office, Department of Defense (DOD). It is responsible for developing, implementing and updating the Integrated Cultural Resource Management Plan (ICRMP). The incumbent is also responsible for regularly consulting with the Hawaii State Historic Preservation Division on any Hawaii Army National Guard (HIARNG) undertaking involving digging, historic or cultural properties, and consulting with the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation (ACHP) on any adverse effects or decisions. The incumbent develops scopes of work and manages all contracted services relating to cultural and historic resources; develops and maintains a database of artifacts within the HIARNG’s collection; is responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable Army, DOD, federal, state and local laws and regulations; locates and records existing and new archaeological sites on HIARNG properties; and performs other related duties as assigned.
