Description: International Archaeological Research Institute, Inc. (IARII), a non-profit equal opportunity employer, seeks a permanent, full-time Archaeology Project Director for its Honolulu office. A graduate degree in anthropology with specialization in archaeology or degree in a related field, 2 years of experience directing projects, and CRM experience required. Will need a passport and driver’s license. Pacific Islands archaeology experience preferred. Will conduct fieldwork and supervise archaeology crews, write reports, and oversee projects and laboratory analyses. Should have computer skills (Microsoft and Adobe software), basic GPS/GIS proficiency, a good sense of organization, problem-solving abilities, interpersonal skills, a strong determination to maintain project schedules, and a willingness to work as part of a team. Project work primarily in Hawaii, though projects in Micronesia and Japan are possibilities. Position available immediately. Annual salary $65,000-$75,000, commensurate with position and experience of the applicant; benefits include healthcare insurance, paid vacation and sick leave, and a retirement program.
